Wild Things
| I am very fortunate
to know Charlie Sammut and his staff at Vision Quest Ranch in Salinas,
CA. |
| “Wild Things”, a
50-acre wild animal rescue “resort” is an incredible inspiration to
animal lovers and artists alike. The Ranch is open to the public and is
a definite “must see” when you are in the area, especially for children.
It is very safe and the staff is extremely patient and friendly.

| Since “Wild Things”
is a non-profit organization, Charlie always seems to be in need of
funds to feed and house his always-hungry animals. Once a year, a
fundraiser is held at the Ranch, from which the animals enjoy the full
profit. A number of Artists and friends participate in this on a regular
basis by donating Artwork and other valuables. This year my contribution
is a 36x48 inch oil painting of his three elephants, Butch, Buffy and
Lisa in the Vision Quest Ranch setting. The painting is named “Out of
Africa”. |
